These two women I saw at the market in Frankfurt,
Germany were more interesting to me
than the flowers they were buying.
They were a joy to paint!

This is a lovely piece. You can feel that it's about the two ladies and their relationship, even more than the flowers. I would have guessed the scene was from further south - maybe Provence. I find spring lovely everywhere.
