I found this charming little French house irresistibly appealing,

very cozy and inviting.

The owner gave us a tour through his luscious back yard with

over 160 varieties of roses.

I wonder if he realizes how much art he inspired.

My guess is at least 160 paintings from the group I was with:)

Oh- I almost forgot!

Roses climbing to the light on a rambling shed

striking a charming pose,

brightly colored laundry flapping in a soft breeze,

warm sunshine hugging my shoulders as I'm painting,

this is where smiles are born:)

I found these precious miniature pears in the

grocery and couldn't resist buying them

to paint.

They went really well with a glass of

white wine,  visually that is:)

Thanks so much for viewing my artwork

and taking the time to comment.

You complete me:)

I was trying to push my warm/cool color

relationships a little further with this painting.

For me painting is a process with

lots of small steps along an

endless journey of creative self discovery.

Deep, I know:)))

Blue Cream Rose

Blue Cream Rose  6x6  oil on board

I did this painting for the Daily Paintworks blue challenge.

The parameters were to make it predominately light,

high key, avoid any complementary colors and

still make the blue focal point pop.

It was an interesting challenge.

I got my entry in just under the wire.  It's been a busy week

here in Malta.  I've got a 25% discount cyber sale on

my website for any painting of your choice.
