Blue Cream Rose

Blue Cream Rose  6x6  oil on board

I did this painting for the Daily Paintworks blue challenge.
The parameters were to make it predominately light,
high key, avoid any complementary colors and
still make the blue focal point pop.
It was an interesting challenge.

I got my entry in just under the wire.  It's been a busy week
here in Malta.  I've got a 25% discount cyber sale on
my website for any painting of your choice.
All you have to do is email me at
so I can apply your discount.
Sale ends December 5th

  1. Beautiful blues here Bruce. I particularly like the shadow color under the beautifully painted jug.

  2. I like this one Bruce! Sounds so easy at the look and yet is a bit complex. Good you got variety without complementary colors. Very well done!

  3. Thank you Julie, I wasn't really sure about the shadow color when I put it on, then when I stood back I thought, ok, that works OK.

  4. Hi Francesco, you know I would have used more colors for sure, but it's good to work with such a limited palette, you showed me that! Thanks for commenting.
