More Plane Green Tea 6x6 oil on board
This is the still life I had in my Still Life Stage when
we had the black out in Malta.
I really like to let a painting sit and then come
back to it later.
I just oil over it with medium and go back in.
Waiting gives me a fresh eye and I can
correct my drawing errors more easily.
I just love painting this silly little plane!
So beautiful! Love the colors, such a great warming painting!
ReplyDeleteP.S.: Bruce, you wrote about yourself so wonderfully! Have you ever thought about writing a book or something? Seriously, very interesting and unusual, great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Irina, I'm glad you liked the warm colors. I'm drawn to them often. About the writing, are you talking about the About Me thingy? If so, it would be really cool if you signed up for my somewhat regular free newsletter. It's a bit more newsy than the blog. I do like to write sometimes, although I don't know diddly about it. I think for me it comes from a deep seated need to be listened to, and the coolest part is- nobody interrupts! Thanks for commenting!
ReplyDeleteI subscribed to... something, but I think it's your blog updates, can't find the actual newsletters though, please help! :))
DeleteThanks Irina, I need to fix that. I thought you could subscribe on my blog but I guess not! Please go to my website- brucebingham.com and you'll see an icon for newsletter, you can subscribe there! Please let me know if you have any problems. Thanks you!
DeleteI think this 'silly little plane' adds a lot to the whole composition, just perfect ! Love the bold colors.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane, I find the best stuff at the dollar store! Or as they call it in Malta- the pound store:)
DeleteGreat painting. Love the colors. I guess I said i liked the colors in the watercolor yesterday too. Guess what Bruce - I must genuinely love your eye for color!
ReplyDeleteThat really means so much to me Julie because I'm a big fan of your work!
ReplyDeleteI love this piece! And I just saw an email that you left me a few weeks ago. My apologies for not responding but didn't see it until today and then deleted it by mistake. Anyway, in answer to your question, I have been a vegetarian for about 8 years or so...don't know how I could look them in the eye if they were on my plate.
ReplyDeleteHI Susan, just left that message yesterday so you're on top of things!
